For the love of our communities, on the Shortchanged Podcast, we seek to understand WHY and HOW organizations and leaders driving important change in our communities are coming up short. Together, we’ll uncover and untangle the structures built to accelerate good, but too often slow it down. We’ll explore innovative ideas and new paths forward so that organizations and our communities get what they are due.
Season 2 topics include:
What is the Overhead Myth?
What are its impacts on workplace equity?
What are its impacts on how we value nonprofit work?
What do funders think about the OM?
These are conversations for the nonprofit leader, the funder, and the community member.
Taylor & Monique’s Story
Taylor and Monique first connected in the internet-based nonprofit community, We Are For Good. They instantly became huge fans of each other’s work and joined a monthly working group to swap ideas and challenges with others in the sector. The two became thought partners and friends.
Beyond living in separate time zones and looking for an excuse to spend more time together, they knew with their different vantage points and networks they could bring some really powerful conversations to the forefront. Together, they are uncovering and untangling the structures built to accelerate good, but too often slow it down. They explore innovative ideas and new paths forward so that organizations, and therefore our communities, get what they are due.
