Emily is a creative and fundraising professional with a background in membership development and grant writing for arts and culture organizations. She previously served as the Program and Development Coordinator at Burnaway, a non-profit magazine of contemporary art criticism from the South. In her time with Burnaway, she relaunched and managed the membership program, planned fundraising events, oversaw all advertising sales and contracted artists and writers for creative projects. Emily has also aided organizations like the Judith Alexander Foundation in the establishment of emergency relief grants for artists across Georgia.

Emily is also a visual artist working in ceramic sculpture and photography. She has exhibited her work around Atlanta and has been awarded a 2022 Idea Capital Grant for the expansion of her ongoing body of work, Mörk Materia. She is a recipient of the 2022/2023 Emerging Artist Award from the Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and a lover of all things orange.


Emily has worked with: The Judith Alexander Foundation, The Georgia Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University.
