AIDS United: Harm Reduction Futures Fund

Geographic scope: United States and U.S. territories

Grant amount: $10,000 to $40,000

AIDS United’s Harm Reduction Futures Fund is currently accepting pre-applications for the next round of harm reduction funding. The Fund will provide grants of $10,000 to $40,000 to 12 to 19 organizations that are serving people who use drugs.

Funding supports three kinds of projects: syringe services programs providing direct service; harm reduction organizations supporting multiple syringe services programs providing direct service; and harm reduction organizations conducting community advocacy activities focused on legalizing or strengthening syringe services programs and other health interventions for people who use drugs at the local, state, or federal level.

Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with an annual budget less than $1.5 million. In addition, the majority of an applicant organization’s leadership and the people it serves must be people of color and the organization must operate in areas of high needs and low resources.
